Gatesmans mark 50th wedding anniversary
Larry and Peg Gatesman of Lucinda will mark their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 12, 2021.
Larry Gateman and the former Peg Hoover were married June 12, 1971, at St. Joseph's Church in Lucinda by Rev. William Holl.
Mr. Gatesman is the son of the late Lawrence and Florence Gatesman and Mrs. Gatesman is the daughter of the late Gene and Evelyn Hoover.
They are the parents of Amy (Claude) Lawson of Corsica, Matt (Lori) Gatesman of Lucinda and Mandy (Frank) Ammer of Marianna. Five grandchildren, Claude and Nathan Lawson, Taylor, Abbigail and Drew Gatesman and two adopted grandchildren, Chelsea Reichrath and Diedre Tarosky as well as a great-grandchild, Isabel Park complete their family.
Mr. Gatesman is a retired business owner of Gatesman Plumbing and Heating in Shippenville and was in the Air Force as a staff sergeant for six years and Mrs. Gatesman was a graduate of Clarion University and retired as a teacher of the Erie Diocese schools after 23 years of service.
He enjoys history and belongs to the Friends of Gettysburg National Park group. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, walking and gardening. They both love to travel.
The couple lives in Lucinda with their beloved dog, Rufus.
The couple will celebrate the occasion with a family dinner at the Allegheny Grille in Foxburg hosted by their children.
