Dolbys mark 60th anniversary
William and Shirley Dolby of Strattanville are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today, April 8, 2021.
William Dolby and the former Shirley Hollenbaugh were married April 8, 1961, at the First United Methodist Church in Clarion.
Mr. Dolby is the son of the late Jess and Molly Dolby of Shippenville and Mrs. Dolby is the daughter of the late Roy and Emma Hollenbaugh of Strattanville.
They are the parents of four children, Laura Heasley of Strattanville, Jeff and Cindy Dolby of Sligo, Patricia Dolby of Strattanville and Penny Mendenhall of Strattanville.
Two grandchildren, Douglas Heasley and his fiance Shannon Myers of Cleveland, Ohio and Braxton Mendenhall of Strattanville complete their family.
Mr. Dolby retired from Owens-Illinois in Clarion after 39 years of service. Mrs. Dolby retired as a Registered Nurse-office manager at the 800 Medical Center in Clarion and also previously worked as a nurse at Owens-Illinois in Clarion.
Mr. Dolby is a life-long member of the Masonic Lodge and Mrs. Dolby is a member of the Eastern Star of Clarion. They are both members of the First United Methodist Church of Clarion.
In their spare time, they both enjoy family vacations, camping, boating, picnics, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Due to COVID-19, a small family celebration will be held at the Dolby home to commemorate this special occasion.
