Murrays and Holabaughs celebrate wedding anniversaries

STRATTANVILLE

John and Lorri Murray along with William and Charlene Holabaugh recently celebrated their respective wedding anniversaries together on a cruise that took them to four different Hawaiian Islands. The Murrays celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary and the Holabaughs were celebrating their upcoming 45th wedding anniversary.

Murrays' 35th wedding anniversary

John and Lorri Murray of 48 Fair Haven Road in Strattanville celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary Sunday, April 14, 2019.

John Murray and the former Lorri Walker were married April 14, 1984, at St. Michael's Church in Fryburg. Fr. John Swoager officiated the double ring ceremony.

Mr. Murray is a Clarion Area High School graduate and received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. He is the son of the late Harry and Mary Murray of Shippenville. He is a certified tax accountant and is employed as chief financial officer for Francis J. Palo, Inc. of Clarion. He is also proprietor of JEM Financial Services in Strattanville.

He enjoys outdoor activities of all kinds, including hunting, fishing, riding all-terrain vehicles and drinking cold beverages in his garage.

Mrs. Murray is a graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School and is the daughter of Joyce Kahle of Fisher and the late Robert Walker. She is employed as a classified advertising sales representative for The Derrick and Clarion News in Clarion. She enjoys reading, shopping and playing bingo every Tuesday and Thursday at the Strattanville Legion and the Strattanville volunteer fire hall.

As a couple, they enjoy camping with the Redcat crowd, traveling, backyard barbecues, spending time with their family and friends. They are both avid Steelers fans.

They are the parents of two children, a daughter Jennifer Erff and her husband, Greg, of Royal Oak, Michigan and a son Justin of Strattanville.

Holobaughs' 45th wedding anniversary

William and Charlene Holabaugh of 225 Division Street in Strattanville will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary April 12, 2020.

Bill Holabaugh and the former Charlene Murray were married April 12, 1975 at St. Michael's Church in Fryburg. Fr. Richard Mayer officiated the double ring ceremony.

Mr. Holabaugh is a North Clarion High School graduate and received his Bachelor of Science degree in management from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. He is the son of the late Harry and Eileen Holabaugh of Tylersburg. He is the former owner of Holabaugh Beer Distributor in Clarion and is currently employed by Neiswonger Construction in Strattanville. He enjoys a good card game, setting sail with Captain Morgan, following social media and being outdoors.

Mrs. Holabaugh is a Clarion High School graduate and is the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Murray of Shippenville. She is the owner of Riverhill Beverage in Shippenville and works part-time as a travel agent for All Ur Travel in Limestone. She enjoys socializing, having lunch with friends and contributing to hair salon conversations.

As a couple they also enjoy camping with the Redcat crowd, traveling, spending time with their children and grandchildren. They are also avid Steelers fans.

They are parents of three daughters, Carrie Miller and her husband Wylie of Shippenville; Kristen MacKenzie and her husband Travis of McDonald; and Kelli Rankin and her husband Larry, Jr. of Strattanville. They have seven grandchildren; Landon and Lucas Rominski, Evelyn and Grayson Rankin, Arleigh, Adelina and Astella MacKenzie.

Together the unforgettable trip commemorated the total of 80 years of marriage they have shared as a family.
