Gardina celebrates 90th birthday

CLARION

Joseph Gardina of 350 Mayfield Road, Clarion, will celebrate his 90th birthday Sunday April 5, 2020.

He was born in Butler, son of Joseph F. and Mary Bova Gardina. He graduated from Butler High School then served in the Army for two years in the Korean Conflict.

He later married Mary Jane Phillips of New Bethlehem in 1960.

Mr. Gardina's family includes two children; Anna (David) Wolfe of Long Grove, Illinois and Leo (Lisa) Gardina of Naperville, Illinois; three grandchildren, Kristen (Jeremiah) Roberts of Ashburn, Virginia, Jacob Wolfe of Naperville, Illinois and Cameron Gardina who is attending Arizona State University.

Completing his family is three great-grandchildren, Caden, Jaxon Wolfe and Wyatt Roberts.

Mr. Gardina retired from Joy Manufacturing in Franklin in 1995. In his spare time he loves reading, taking walks and spending time with all his family. He also enjoys spending time at the Clarion YMCA.

Mr. and Mrs. Gardina are members of Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion.
