Youth basketball

YMCA basketball is a fundamental, participation based program for boys and girls in third- and fourth-grades.

Practices and games will held Saturdays, Feb. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and March 7, 14, 21 at the YMCA.

Registration is required by Jan. 27. All players receive T-shirts. Cost of program is $27 for members and $47 for non-members. A late registration fee of $5 will apply after Jan. 27.

Lazy man triathlon

There is nothing lazy about this triathlon, held from Feb. 10 to March 2.

Participants will have six weeks to run or walk 26.2 miles, row or swim 2.5 miles, and bike or elliptical 112 miles.

All participants earn a T-shirt for completing the challenge. The cost for this event is $15 for members.

Swim challenge

YMCA is holding a swim challenge starting Jan. 28 and participants complete the challenge by Feb. 25.

Can you swim 90 laps a week, totaling 360 in the four-week challenge? Participants who complete the lap challenge, will receive a $10 gift card.

Registration is due by Jan. 24. The cost of the challenge is $10 for members and $20 for non-members.

Free child watch

Child Watch is available at the YMCA facility for children ages 8 months through 7 years old, while their parents are using YMCA facilities. Parents must remain inside the YMCA.

Child watch is free for YMCA members and just $2 per child/per visit for non-members. *Limited space is available and is on a first-come basis.

Free seventh-grade memberships

The Clarion County YMCA will offer free memberships to seventh-grade students starting in January 2020.

Any area student in seventh-grade may obtain a free membership by signing up at the YMCA with proof of grade level. The membership will be active throughout the seventh grade year.


The Clarion County YMCA is open 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. The Clarion County YMCA is located at 499 Mayfield Road in Clarion.
