Arthritis aquatics classes are low impact, often utilize floatation aids and are tailored to support the needs of those enrolled. Members can ease their joints in a warm pool.
Instructor for this class is certified through the Arthritis Foundation.
Classes are held from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. The cost is free for YMCA members; $27 for non-members and $5 drop in fee per class.
Senior strength and stability
This intermediate level class is designed to increase strength, balance, coordination, agility, endurance and flexibility.
Each class consists of a full body workout with the use of bands, hand weights, medicine balls and your own body weight for resistance exercises. A stability ball and chair are also available if needed.
Each class also includes stretches for increased range of motion and movement exercises for balance and agility.
This class is held from 9 to 9:50 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is free for YMCA members.
Riversharks competitive swim team
The Riversharks are a competitive swim team that practice at Clarion University's Tippin Natatorium Monday through Thursday from October through mid-February. The Clarion County YMCA participates in the CENKEY swim league.
Meets are held on Saturdays, from December through February at pools in the league, with 2 to 3 home meets held in Clarion.

Flip and Dip
Flip and Dip is a beginner gymnastics and swimming program for preschool children ages 3 to 5. Children begin with 30 minutes of tumbling, followed by a 30 minute beginner swim lesson.
Participants should sign up by the first of November for the month.
Class is held from 5 to 6:05 p.m. Tuesdays. Cost is $20 per month for members and $40 per month for non-members.
A Glow Zumba party will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, in the YMCA gym.
All participants will receive glow jewelry at registration. Ron Radacker and April Dinger will be leading Zumba.
Refreshments will be served. The cost is a donation of $5 or more. Members and community are welcome to attend.
The Clarion County YMCA is open 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. The Clarion County YMCA is located at 499 Mayfield Road in Clarion.
