Shippenville council resets for 2020

Shippenville Borough Council held its state-mandated bi-annual reorganization meeting at 7 p.m. Jan. 6 with Linda Duffee re-appointed as council president.
Charles Knight and Paul R. Woodburne and Michael Petronzio were elected to council in the 2019 general election.
Eric Sterner will continue serving as borough mayor.
Rose Schreckengost, Steve Brocious, and Gary Dittman will also serve on council.
In other reorganization business, council:
?Re-appointed Russ Rennard as maintenance supervisor at $16 per hour.
?Re-appointed Jacqui Blose as secretary, open records officer and building permit officer at $16 per hour
?Set laborer wages at $16 per hour.
?Re-appointed Andrea Stapleford as borough legal counsel.
?Re-appointed The EADS Group as borough engineer.
?Re-appointed Farmers National Bank as a depository for township funds.
?Re-appointed Northwest Soil Services, Inc. as sewage enforcement agency.
?Re-appointed Dan Hartle as emergency management coordinator.
?Set the mileage rate for use of private vehicles for borough business at the IRS maximum of 57.5 cents per hour.
?Agreed to conduct the monthly meetings at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month.
