For the first time in its history, Brookville Borough Council Jan. 3 seated three female members. They are (from left): Lucy Ames, Karen Allgeier and Sarah Gallagher. Brookville Borough Council reorganized Jan. 3, re-electing Phil Hynes as president, Allgeier as vice-president and Randy Bartley as second vice-president. Council retained its regular meeting schedule as 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month unless otherwise advertised.

CLARION - The Clarion county Board of Commissioners Dec. 28 gave its formal approval to proposed agreements related to the opioid settlement announced in July by Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro. The final agreement will bring about $1 million to the county.
