STRATTANVILLE - Strattanville Borough Mayor Randy Davis Sept. 8 declared September as "FoodStock Month" in the borough.
The official proclamation was scheduled to be made at borough council's Sept. 8 meeting, but a lack of quorum canceled the session.
But, official meeting or not, Strattanville residents are encouraged to bring their non-perishable food donations to the borough office for packing and delivery to the FoodStock effort held during the Autumn Leaf Festival season.
The collected food is distributed to food banks throughout the Clarion County area.
Strattanville Borough Secretary Roxanne Davis has in past years praised Strattanville residents and organizations for their strong support of the food drive effort and believes that support will continue this year.
Donations can be dropped at the Strattanville Borough office during regular business hours.
