BELLTOWN - After a one-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Belltown Regatta again took to the Clarion River Sunday.
The family-fun event took place in Heath Township, Jefferson County.
Literally anything that floats, (and some things that didn't), took to the water. There were dozens of kayaks, canoes, inflatables and rafts in the water.
The theme for this year was super heroes. Present were Mutant Ninja Turtles, a Batman or two, The Joker, Harley Quinn and some questionable Polynesians.
At the end of the ride to the Belltown Bridge, an award ceremony was held to honor almost all of the participants.
The Belltown Regatta has been a Labor Day weekend for decades and, judging by Sunday's participation, will be for years to come.
