GPS misguidance

It was an odd site Sunday morning (July 18) in downtown Buttertown in Salem Township when an out-of-state truck driver got his rig stuck at the intersection of Buttertown (Salem Township) and Master (Richland Township) roads. The tractor-trailer blocked the crossroads for several hours as a tow truck from Hovis Towing freed the rig. The driver said his GPS took him onto Master Road as he looked for a fuel station in the early and dark hours. Getting stuck where the recently tar and chipped road turned to a dirt road probably saved the truck driver from attempting to navigate Buttertown Hill, a very steep, winding and washed out road. State police also responded to the scene.
