The Clarion Area Transit bus is now making stops at the Clarion County YMCA located at 499 Mayfield Road in Clarion for your busing pleasure. CLARION The Clarion County YMCA is now a bus stop for Clarion Area Transit (CAT), starting Wednesday, June 12. A special summer youth rate is offered.

A "Ride for Free" day is planned Friday, June 14, for the community, celebrating the new Y stop on the bus route and everyone rides free that day. All CAT bus riders will also receive a free pass to the YMCA on June 14.

The Area Transit Authority and Clarion County Transportation will be setting up tables in the Y lobby from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 14. Staff will answer questions about bus routes, costs, and provide any other information.

CAT pick-up and drop-off is available each day at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The county provides the shared ride service, "curb to curb" reservation based transportation for Clarion County residents. There are PennDOT programs, as well as local sponsors, to help with the fare for senior citizens and persons with disabilities who are eligible and in need of transportation services to medical appointments, day programming, senior centers, and more.

A special rate for youth ages 12 through 17 is now $40 for the summer. In addition to the special youth summer passes price of $40 per summer, seniors ride free, and CAT is also offering a special pass deal for Y members.

Monthly ride club cards are available for purchase pertaining to the CAT bus. Regularly $40 a month for an adult, YMCA youth members can also join the Y for $14 a month.
