Margaret ‘Peggy' (Brasch) Baldwin

Loving wife and devoted mother

CLARION Margaret "Peggy" (Brasch) Baldwin, formerly of Clarionand Shippenville, passed away August 15, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was 87 years of age.

Peggy was born on February 26, 1932, in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Edward and Catherine (Tobias) Brasch. She was married in 1957 to Robert Harrison Baldwin, of Bridgeville, whopreceded her in death in September 1997.

Peggy graduated Red Bank High School in 1949. Shecontinued her education in North Carolina, where sheattended North Carolina Woman's College.

Peggy was an avid bridge player. She enjoyed hostingand attending numerous bridge clubs throughout her lifetime. She also volunteered for various organizations, such as Red Cross Blood Mobile, March of Dimes, and the Humane Society, where she served as secretary and fund-raiser. Peggy was well-known for her compassionate heart and kindness to others.

Family was a "constant" in herlife. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and extraordinary grandmother.

Peggy is survived by her three children, Ann Baldwin Hightchew (Jeff), of Scottsdale, Arizona, Robert Edward Baldwin (Judi) ofColumbia, Maryland, and Beth Applegate Baldwin (Lawrence Reid) of San Ramon, California; her grandchildren, Alyssa Hightchew,Harrison and Tobias Baldwin, and Alexander Reid. She is alsosurvived by her sister, Nancy Stout of Gaithersburg, Maryland; and multiple nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion, with visitation with family to commence at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 14, and service to immediatelyfollow at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery in Fayette City.
