We've become a socialist nation

We are now living in a socialist country. We no longer have the constitutional freedom to worship as we wish; peacefully assemble; or take charge of our own healthcare. (To wear a mask or not to wear a mask -- that is the question.)
We have to fear secret government agents (World Health Organization and the state Department of Health) catching us in an infringement. (Gestapo, KGB -- sound familiar?)
Our travel is being limited and the places where we can shop are starting to dwindle.
In the words of Rahm Emanuel, attorney general in the Obama Administration, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. It gives you an opportunity to do things you couldn't do before."
If you think these restrictions will go away with the pandemic, it may be just the beginning. What is transpiring now may be the "new normal.
Is the new normal socialism?
Let's remember that when we vote in November. It may be our last chance.
