Specify 90 days
By Marty Smith
When your doctor is giving you a prescription, ask for a "90-day" supply. We could not figure why we were always running out with a three-month prescription.
Our pharmacy tech grandson explained: three months is only 84 pills whereas 90 days is 90 pills.
On a three-month prescription, they are only allowed to dispense 84 pills.
Three months is 12 weeks. Twelve weeks times seven days is 84 pills, three months times four times per year is 336 pills. Ninety times four times per year is 360 pills.
It does make some sense.
Have a blessed day.
