Charitable Deeds and Services

Knox

It is so hard to believe the year 2021 is almost over and we will soon be starting a new year -- "2022."

Without all of you, wonderful people, Charitable Deeds would not have been able to help as many families we have with financial aid, furniture, clothing, household items, food, etc.

For all of you behind the scenes, we want to thank you for the many of families that have received help through Charitable Deeds may God bless you all.

It's easy to get lost in the flurry of activity during Christmas time. May you get a chance to take in the beauty and meaning of the season. May this Christmas end the present year on a cheerful note and make way for a fresh and bright New Year.

Our next monthly garage sales for the year 2022 are as follows: Jan. 20, 21 and 22; Feb. 17, 18 and 19; March 17, 18 and 19; April 21, 22 and 23; May 19, 20 and 21; June 16, 17 and 18; July 21, 22, and 23; Aug. 18, 19 and 20; Sept. 15, 16 and 17; Oct. 20, 21 and 22; Nov. 17, 18 and 19 and Dec. 15, 16 and 17. Please mark your calendar with these dates.

There are many new and gently used items brought in each month. If you have any items, you would like to donate you can call (814) 221-9966. Please do not call until after the new year. Our volunteers are spending the holiday season with their loved ones. But we will be starting up again after the first of the year.

Our monthly food bank for the 2022 year is as follows: the fourth Thursday of each of the following months: Jan. 27, Feb. 24, March 24, April 28, May 26, June 23, July 28, Aug. 25, Sept. 22 and Oct. 27. Please mark your calendars accordingly.

The Charitable Deeds food bank provides 140 families in Clarion and Forest counties with a shopping cart full of groceries each month.

If you would like to donate, to help feed these families, you can make your checks out to Charitable Deeds Food Bank and sent to Dave Rivers at P.O. Box 414, Knox, Pa. 16232, and mark in the memo section Charitable Deeds food bank.

We are always looking for volunteers to help fill the carts with food the day of the food bank. If you would like to help, you can at 9 a.m. at 260 High Point Road in Knox.

If you or someone you know is in need of food, you must pre-register by calling (814) 797-0286 and leave a message and someone will get back to you.

We would like to thank Sheetz, Country Fair and ALDI for their help to support the needy people in the community.

No year can be a bed of roses, but we wish you courage and confidence to turn each obstacle into opportunity during the upcoming New Year.

We would like to thank ABATE and the American Legion for working with us each year to bring joy to a lot of children in the community.

We have started our annual Winter Utility campaign. There are still so many families going without their utilities on to heat their homes for their families.

If you would like to donate to the winter utility campaign, you can send your donation to Charitable Deeds, 98 Hickory Nut Lane, Knox, Pa. 16232. And in the memo section please put winter utility campaign.

Spread the warmth of the Christmas season to all those around you and make this world a beautiful place to live in.

Charitable Deeds is wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season and all the best in the coming New Year. Merry Christmas and happy New Year may God bless you all.

(Also keep John Kerle in your prayers. Cards may be sent to 98 Hickory Nut Lane, Knox, Pa. 16232.)
