In the presence of God

We are all in the presence of God and have been forever. In Ephesians 1:4 (NEV), "In Christ he chose us before the world was founded to be dedicated to be without blemish in his sight, to be full of love"

We are all traveling the same narrow road in the presence of God.

You say, not me. But let's continue in Ephesians 1:5, "He destined us such was his will and pleasure to be accepted as his sons through Jesus Christ"

There are rules of the road for any trip whether it is local or far away. Rules all drivers must obey.

First there are many different signs such as speed, yield, caution, stop, one-way, wrong way, dead end or others as the need arises along the way.

To be safe, we need wisdom. The following statements are from the Message Bible and found in the Book of Proverbs: "the first step in learning is bowing down to God, only fools thumb their noses at such wisdom and learning." (Proverbs 1:7)

The New England Bible translates the same verse as, "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge but fools scorn wisdom and knowledge."

So wisdom and speed are the first things to be aware of on this trip.

The next sign is stop. In John 2:15 (NEV), "Do not set your heart on the godless world or anything in it. Anyone who loves the world is a stranger to the Father's love." Remember, this trip is called "in the presence of God."

Success on this road does not call for yielding to the following: "Everything the world affords all that panders to the appetite or entices the eyes, all the glamour of its life springs not from the Father but from the godless world." 1 John 2:16-17 (NEV)

What happens now if you decide to yield as millions have who are now ruled by the godless Socialism, Marxism and Communism going on in the Democratic Party?

Everyone including pastors should have heard Dr. David Jeremiah's sermon last week on Socialism. It is against the Bible and all Christian beliefs. Why else do they murder millions to get control?

You people need to check out Canada, New Zealand and Australia. The Bible is clear -- you can't be a Christian and murder our babies so all the yielding to the godless trends of today lead the wrong way.

In 1 John 1:8, "If we claim to be sinless, we are self-deceived and strangers to the truth." So traveling on this journey in the presence of God calls for much caution but in 1 John 1:9-10 it reads, "If we confess our sins he is just and may be trusted to forgive our sins and cleanse us from every kind of wrong. But if we say we have committed no sin, we make him out to be a liar and then his words have no place in us."

This all leads to a special sign, one-way. "He who puts his faith in the son has hold of eternal life" John 3:36

Our final signs says, "Stop. Dead end."

For Jesus Christ that dead end was on the cross when he said, "It is finished." It was only the end of the Father's first step on the salvation plan.

We know every death is not a dead end. Remember, the message to the thief on the cross. Jesus said, "This day will I see you in paradise." The rest of the verse in John 3:36 reads, "but he who disobeys the son shall not see that life (eternal life) God's wrath rests upon him."

But we all know that is not a dead end because hell is for all eternity as is heaven. No one can elect not to go on this journey (read Ephesians 1) but we do have the choice on how we travel this journey. God is waiting with love and open arms.

Travel in peace and joy and love. Keep on "truckin."
