Where are the true great ideas?

First, thanks to the CLARION NEWS editor, Mr. Sherman, for having humored me for the past several weeks by sharing my great ideas which I have gleaned from news sources. There are more but they may be too outrageous for any of us to bear just now.

I have a request for all Democrats: Tell us how the current administration has made our lives better.

And to the Republicans, tell us the same about the previous administration.

I need not use the words inflation, unemployment, unrest or mistrust to explain why we need some positive pronouncements.

I want Republicans and Democrats to quit wasting time and our minds with rhetoric, vitriol and venom against each other and show us some positive actions that any one has provided, which have improved the life of the commoner.

I must say this. My modest retirement fund was steadily growing with the little I have been using out of it. Every month it was getting just a little bit better. Even through the pandemic it was growing.

As of May 27, my savings (401K type) had lost nearly $50,000 since last year!

That's more than I spend in a year. Many things are happening in the world just now and so I do not blame the current administration directly for this but I want the Democrat policies explained to me so I can see how I am benefiting from them.

I also want to know how Gov. Tom Wolf's administration has made life better for Pennsylvanians.

It seems that both sides are playing with power and not working for the people anymore, if ever they did. Each wants to destroy the other party in order to gain absolute control and they each blame the other for all the problems in the world.

Stop fooling around! I am not falling for any of the "Big Stories" either party is feeding us. It looks much like there is some force trying to tear the citizenry apart and set us against each other in some sort of civil war.

Wouldn't that be a great way to impose martial law?

I know that history always repeats and there is no way to stop it. There are wars, pestilence, famine, building back and then back down to the pits again. It's frustrating.

We need hope, faith and trust in our government. We just can't get there from here.

Those who know me know that my faith and trust is in God. Should I lose everything here on Earth, I will still trust in God.
