Clarion 15, A-C Valley 13
WEST FREEDOM - Clarion's Payton Simko blasted two home runs and totaled four RBIs in the visiting Bobcats win over A-C Valley in KSAC softball action March 30.
Simko also picked up the win in the circle pitching 5 2/3 innings of relief allowing six runs on 11 hits with seven strikeouts and two walks.
Brenna Campbell also smacked a home run plus had two singles and totaled four RBIs for Clarion while Kylee Beers smacked a solo home run.
Noel Anthony and Simko also finished with three hits for the Bobcats with Anthony smacking a double and two singles while Simko also logged a single.
Jordan Best followed with a double for Clarion while MaKenzie Aaron and Ava Kiser each contributed a single.
Kenzie Parks led the Falcons with four hits totaling a double and three singles while Meah Ielase ripped three hits including a home run. Andrea Meals and Avah Burke each recorded three hits for A-C Valley with both Meals and Burke contributing a double. Lexi Bauer followed with two singles for A-C Valley while Brogan Armagost doubled. Brooke Terwilliger, Bella Ielase and Baylee Blauser each contributed a single for the Falcons.
Clarion-Limestone 8, Redbank Valley 6
NEW BETHLEHEM - Visiting Clarion-Limestone jumped out to a 6-1 lead after three innings and held on for an 8-6 win over Redbank Valley in KSAC play March 30.
Cassidy Makray had three hits including two doubles and knocked in three runs for the Lions while Abby Knapp ripped a pair of doubles and had two RBIs.
Regan Husted chimed in with a double and an RBI for C-L while Jade Terrana contributed an RBI.
Makray picked up the win in the circle for the Lions allowing five runs (four earned) on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings of work.
Brooke Holben totaled three hits including a triple and a double while knocking in three runs for the Bulldogs while Brynn Rearick registered an RBI double. Gabby Dinger and Savannah Boyer each had a pair of singles for Redbank Valley.
A-C Valley 7, Clarion 5
EMLENTON - A-C Valley's Zach Collins smacked a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth to break a 5-5 tie as the Falcons downed visiting Clarion 7-5 in KSAC play March 30.
Zeke Causey had a pair of hits and scored two runs for A-C Valley.
Ryan Cooper picked up the win on the mound for the Falcons striking out four in 2 1/3 scoreless innings of work.
Cole Slaugenhoup had a three-run home run for the Bobcats while Dawson Smail had two singles. Cameron Lapinto and Devon Lauer each recorded a single for Clarion with Lapinto knocking in a run.
Redbank Valley 13, Clarion-Limestone 5
CLARION TWP. - Redbank Valley's Kobe Bonanno and Cam Wagner each had two hits and three RBIs to help the visiting Bulldogs to a 13-5 win over Clarion-Limestone in KSAC action March 30.
The Bulldogs scored nine runs in the top of the seventh to break open a 6-5 game.
Hudson Martz, Bryson Bain, Tate Minich, Bonanno and Wagner each had an RBI in the top of the seventh.
Minich finished with two hits and two ribbies for the Bulldogs.
Martz picked up the win in relief for Redbank Valley allowing one earned run in three innings of work striking out five. Bain got the start on the mound for Redbank Valley allowing two earned runs in four innings of work striking out four.
Ryan Hummell had a single and an RBI for the Lions while also scoring a pair of runs.
Hayden Callen struck out seven batters in four scoreless innings of work for C-L.
GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD
Redbank Valley 102, Union 45
NEW BETHLEHEM - Redbank Valley's Claire Clouse and Raegan beamer were triple-winners to help the Bulldogs to a 102-45 win over Union in a KSAC dual meet March 30.
Clouse and Beamer joined Ember Hetrick and Kaitlyn Davis on the winning 400-relay team with Clouse winning the 100 and high jump while Beamer won the long jump and triple jump.
Lilli Barnett and Ryleigh Smathers were double-winners for Redbank Valley as they teamed with Quinn Fricko and Emma Huffman on the winning 3,200-relay with Barnett winning the 3,200 while Smathers won the 800.
Adding individual wins for Redbank Valley were Ryley Pago in the 100-hurdles, Lillian Shaffer in the javelin and Mackenna Rankin in the pole vault.
Hailey Theuret led the Golden Damsels with three wins. Theuret won the 200 and 300-hurdles while joining Allie Conner, Taylor Shick and Kennedy Andrae on the winning 1,600-relay.
Dominika Logue had two wins for Union with wins in the discus and shot put. Union's Hailey Kriebel and Kennedy Vogle added wins in the 1,600 and 400, respectively.
Cranberry 85, Clarion-Limestone 64
SENECA - Clarion-Limestone's Morgan McNaughton and Ruby Smith were double-winners for the Lions but it wasn't enough as visiting C-L fell to Cranberry 85-64 in a KSAC dual meet March 30.
McNaughton won the 800 and 1,600 while Smith won the 300-hurdles and the javelin.
Adding wins for C-L were Brooke Kessler (high jump), Emma Smith (pole vault) and Lauren Hartle (triple jump).
BOYS TRACK AND FIELD
Redbank Valley 80, Union 59
NEW BETHLEHEM - Redbank Valley's Landon Pence won three events to help the Bulldogs to an 80-59 win over visiting Union in a KSAC dual meet March 30.
Pence joined Nick Moore, Joseph Mansfield and Ashton Kahle on the winning 400-relay while also winning the long jump and javelin.
Kahle and Mansfield finished as double-winners with Kahle winning the 100 while Mansfield won the triple jump.
Levi Shick was also a double-winner for Redbank Valley winning the 3,200 while joining Owen Harmon, Ty Sherry and Kyle Watkins on the winning 3,200-relay.
Adding individual wins for the Bulldogs were Marquese Gardlock in the 300-hurdles, Kolby Barrett in the discus and Trenten Rupp in the triple jump.
The Golden Knights had a pair of triple-winners in Hayden Smith and Payton Johnston. Johnston and Smith joined Sam Morganti and Skyler Roxbury on the winning 1,600-relay with Smith winning the 110-hurdles and high jump while Johnston won the 800 and 1,600.
Morganti and Roxbury were double-winners for Union with Morganti winning the 400 while Roxbury won the 200. Dawson Camper added a win in the shot put for Union.
Cranberry 91, Clarion-Limestone 56
SENECA - Visiting Clarion-Limestone won both the 1,600- and 3,200-relay but it wasn't enough as the Lions fell to Cranberry 91-56 in a KSAC dual meet March 30.
C-L's Keidon Smith and Braden Rankin both ran legs on the winning 1,600- and 3,200-relays.
Cody Whitling and Ty Rankin each ran a leg on the 1,600-relay while Logan Leadbetter and Anthony Slike each ran a leg on the 3,200-relay.
Cooper Shall chimed in with a win in the 200 in the Lions while John Burke won the high jump and Brock Smith won the pole vault.
