Clarion 3, North Clarion 0

CLARION Clarion Area's Aryana Girvan recorded 12 kills to help the Bobcats to a 25-11, 25-17, 25-14 win over visiting North Clarion in KSAC play Oct. 12.

Korrin Burns followed with 11 kills for Clarion while Grace Ochs served for 14 points with four aces. Burns also had seven points and three digs.

Noel Anthony dished out 28 assists for the Bobcats while Payton Simko made five kills and Jordan Best produced 13 points with five aces.

Alana Brooks made 15 digs for the Wolves while Ainsley Hartle had 10 assist and five points.

Clarion-Limestone 3, A-C Valley 0

FOXBURG Clarion-Limestone's Brooke Kessler recorded 11 kills to help the visiting Lions to a 25-13, 25-12, 25-12 win over A-C Valley in KSAC play Oct. 12.

Ruby Smith and Celia Shaffer each provided six kills for C-L while Kendall Dunn had 28 assists and Jenna Dunn had five kills.

Meah Ielase had six kills for the Falcons while Baylee Blauser had two kills and seven digs and Mackenzie Parks had five assists.

Keystone 3, Moniteau 0

KNOX The Keystone trio of Jozee Weaver, Sydney Bell and Leah Exley combined for 23 kills as the Panthers rolled past visiting Moniteau 25-15, 25-21, 25-11 in a KSAC tilt Oct. 12.

Weaver and Bell each had eight kills while Exley totaled seven kills and eight points with five aces.

Alyssa Weaver added 17 assists, seven digs and 11 points with two aces for Keystone while Kennedy Kaye had 15 points with six aces and seven digs.

Redbank Valley 3, Union 0

NEW BETHLEHEM Redbank Valley's Alivia Huffman had six kills and six digs to lead Redbank Valley to a 28-26, 25-22, 25-15 win over Union in KSAC action Oct. 12.

Makayla Monrean followed with four kills for Redbank Valley while Caylen Rearick and Abby Young had 15 and 10 digs, respectively.

Dominika Logue had seven kills and four aces for the Golden Damsels while Hailey Kriebel had three aces and two kills. Union's Kennedy Vogel added eight digs and Keira Croyle posted 10 assists and four aces.

Clarion 3, DuBois 0

DUBOIS Clarion's Korrin Burns ripped 23 kills to help the visiting Bobcats to a 25-20, 27-25, 25-23 win over DuBois in non-conference play Oct. 11.

Noel Anthony handed out 39 assists for Clarion while Aryana Girvan had 11 points and seven kills. Jordan Best recorded 10 points and seven digs for the Bobcats while Adia Needham and Payton Simko recorded six and four kills, respectively. Clarion's Grace Ochs added nine points.

North Clarion 3, A-C Valley 2

FOXBURG Visiting North Clarion rallied from a 2-1 set deficit to down A-C Valley 24-26, 28-26, 22-25, 25-14, 15-7 in a KSAC tilt Oct. 11.

Amya Green had 12 kills and 20 digs for North Clarion while Emily Aites provided 11 kills. Ainsley Hartle dished out 18 assists for the Wolves while Alan Brooks and Kylie Disney made 38 and 31 digs, respectively.

Meah Ielase had 14 kills and 17 digs for the Falcons while Paige Klingler recorded six kills. Mackenzie Parks passed out 21 assists for A-C Valley while Lexi Ruckdeschel amassed 25 digs, three blocks and four aces and Bella Ielase had 17 digs.

Redbank Valley 3, Oil City 1

OIL CITY Redbank Valleys Lilly Shaffer had 22 assist and five aces as the visiting Bulldogs downed Oil City 25-10, 25-14, 21-25, 25-9 in non-conference action Oct. 11.

Carlie Rupp and Taylor Ripple each had five kills for the Bulldogs while Alivia Huffman had three kills and three aces. Caylen Rearick added 16 digs and three aces for Redbank Valley.

Union 3, Forest Area 0

RIMERSBURG The Union trio of Hailey Kriebel, Grace Kindel and Keira Croyle combined for 20 aces to help the Golden Damsels to a 25-11, 25-15, 25-9 win over visiting Forest Area in a KSAC tilt Oct. 11.

Kriebel had eight aces and three kills while Kindel and Croyle each had six aces with Kindel providing two kills while Croyle dished out seven assists. Dominika Logue provided four kills for Union.

Keystone 3, Franklin 0

FRANKLIN Keystone's Leah Exley amassed seven kills and 10 points with four aces to help the visiting Panthers to a 25-16, 25-15, 25-22 win over Franklin in non-conference play Oct. 11.

Alyssa Weaver added nine points with three aces, nine assists and six digs for Keystone while Kennedy Kaye notched 12 digs and eight points.


Wolves remain perfect

FRILLS CORNERS North Clarion's Kaine McFarland posted a time of 18:33 to lead the Wolves to a 26-29 win over visiting Karns City in a KSAC dual meet Oct. 12.

Aiden Thomas added a second place finish for North Clarion while Braden Custer was sixth, Gabe Fair was eighth and Parker Evans was ninth.

Clarion upends Keystone

KNOX Clarion's Gavin Hoover posted a winning time of 20:28.3 to help the Bobcats to a 25-30 win over Keystone in a KSAC dual meet Oct. 12.

Clarion's Ryan Alston followed with a third place finish while Ben Lambert was fifth, Philip Bartley was sixth and Owen Wilson was 10th.

Tyler Pfeiff led the Panthers with a second place finish while Josiah Hansford was fourth, Jonathan Hansford was seventh, Andrew Custer was eighth and Caden Buzard was ninth.


Siegel paces North Clarion

FRILLS CORNERS North Clarion's Brynn Siegel logged a time of 21:24 and the Wolves finished with the top three runners as North Clarion ran past Karns City 15-50 in a KSAC dual Oct. 12.

Jordyn Hendrickson finished second for the Wolves while Katie Bauer was third. Kaylee Castner added a sixth place finish for North Clarion while Emily McCaslin was eighth.

Karns City did not have enough runners to field a complete team.

Heilman finishes first

KNOX Keystone's Cailyn Heilman posted a time of 28:09.7 to finish first in the girls' cross country race at Keystone Oct. 12.

Clarion was supposed to be competing against the Panthers but the Bobcats did not have enough runners.

Following Heilman were, in order, Samantha Heller, Kenna Lloyd, Noelle Booth and Jovia Kinsler.


Forest Area 4, Ridgway 1

TIONESTA Forest Area's Amber Guzzi and Shawna Pack each had two goals to help lead the Fires to a 4-1 win over visiting Ridgway Oct. 11.

Pack also had an assist while Emily Best recorded a goal and an assist.

Redbank Valley 3, Punxsutawney 1

NEW BETHLEHEM Redbank Valley received goals from Quinn Fricko, Ember Hetrick and Alexandra Shoemaker as the Bulldogs took a 3-1 win over visiting Punxsutawney Oct. 11.

Keja Elmer dished out two assists for Redbank Valley.


Redbank Valley 3, West Shamokin 1

RURAL VALLEY Redbank Valley's Owen Clouse had two goals to help lead the visiting Bulldogs to a 3-1 win over West Shamokin Oct. 12.

Owen Harmon added a goal and an assist for Redbank Valley while Ty Carrier and Kieran Fricko each handed out an assist.

Wow, what a weekend of racing to complete the 2021 season. Lernerville Speedway held their Steel City Stampede which featured 10 different divisions plus a 100-lap Enduro. The event took place over three days as Thursday night was practice for all drivers in all the divisions.
