Deas and Callen lead Lions to win

BOYS BASKETBALL

Clarion-Limestone 87, Forest Area 32

TIONESTA Clarion-Limestone's duo of Deion Deas and Hayden Callen combined for 55 points to help the visiting Lions to an 87-32 win over Forest Area in a KSAC Small School tilt Feb. 11.

Deas totaled 28 points, six steals and five assists while Callen amassed 27 points, 10 rebounds, eight blocks and seven steals.

The Lions' Curvin Goheen provided nine points and nine rebounds for C-L

Moniteau 60, Redbank Valley 56 (OT)

NEW BETHLEHEM Visiting Moniteau rallied from a 42-26 third quarter deficit by outscoring Redbank Valley 24-14 over the fourth quarter and overtime to take a 60-56 OT win in KSAC Large School play Feb. 11.

Bryson Bain had a game-high 27 points for the Bulldogs while Declan Fricko had 13 points.

Clarion 54, Brockway 41

CLARION Clarion's Cal German bucketed 22 points and dished out six assists to help the Bobcats down visiting Brockway 54-41 in non-conference play Feb. 10.

Hunter Craddock added 14 points for Clarion while Nick Frederick totaled 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

North Clarion 82, Venango Catholic 42

FRILLS CORNERS North Clarion's Matson Higgins totaled 29 points to help the Wolves to an 82-42 win over visiting Venango Catholic in KSAC Small School play Feb. 10.

Bryce Byers followed with 15 points for North Clarion.

The Wolves' Drew Gatesman registered eight points and six rebounds while Collin Schmader, Chance Schmader and Jacob Bauer each deposited six points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

North Clarion 57, Venango Catholic 20

FRILLS CORNERS North Clarion's Gabby Schmader and Amya Green each scored in double-digits to help the Wolves to a 57-20 win over visiting Venango Catholic in KSAC Small School play Feb. 11.

Schmader had 13 points while Green bucketed 10.

North Clarion's Mackenzie Bauer and Gwen Siegel each provided eight points while Abby Gatesman totaled seven points.

St. Marys 42, Keystone 31

KNOX Keystone's Natalie Bowser recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards but it wasn't enough as the Panthers fell to visiting St. Marys 42-31 in non-conference play Feb. 10.

Emily Lauer added nine points for Keystone while Danae Hurrelbrink posted eight points and seven rebounds.
