Redbank Valley 43, Brockway 33

BROCKWAY The Redbank Valley wrestling team benefitted from two pins, a major decision and four forfeits on the way to a 43-33 win over Brockway in a non-conference clash Jan. 14.

The Bulldogs' Kris Shaffer (138) and Ethan Wiant (145) each recorded a pin while Redbank Valley's Trenten Rupp (126) posted a 10-2 major decision.

Kobe Bonanno (285) added a 3-2 decision in a tie-breaker at 285 for the Bulldogs while Cole Bish (106), Ridge Cook (113), Hudson Martz (182) and Aiden Gardner (195) each recorded a forfeit win.


Clarion third at Port Allegany tourney

PORT ALLEGANY Clarion's Mason Gourley recorded a first place finish to help the Clarion Junior High wrestling team to a third place finish at the Port Allegany tournament Jan. 11.

Derek Smail, Josh Beal and Zane VanTassel each recorded a second place finish while Logan Powell, Holden Sparks and Dawson Smail each provided a third place finish.

Curwensville won the team event while Port Allegany and Coudersport tied for second place.


Clarion 71, Clarion-Limestone 60

CLARION Clarion's Kaitlyn Constantino piled up 24 points, six rebounds and three steals to help the Bobcats to a 71-60 win over visiting Clarion-Limestone in a KSAC crossover Jan. 13.

Jordan Best had 19 points, ripped down 12 boards and made four steals for Clarion while Payton Simko totaled 10 points.

Frances Milliron led the Lions with a game-high 29 points while Anna Kennemuth and Kendall Dunn each scored eight points.

Redbank Valley 77, Venango Catholic 19

NEW BETHLEHEM Redbank Valley's Tara Hinderliter scored a game-high 27 points to help lead the Bulldogs to a 77-19 win over visiting Venango Catholic in KSAC non-division action Jan. 13.

Alivia Huffman bucketed 11 points for Redbank Valley while Madison Foringer deposited 10 points. Emma Huffman provided seven points for the Bulldogs while Katie Davis had six points and Karlee Shoemaker had five points.

Moniteau 75, Union 40

WEST SUNBURY Despite 18 points from Dominika Logue, visiting Union fell to Moniteau 75-40 in a KSAC crossover Jan. 13.

Maggie Minick added eight points for the Golden Damsels while Hailey Kriebel notched six points.

Karns City 38, A-C Valley 24

KARNS CITY Karns City held visiting A-C Valley to single-digit scoring in all four quarters on the way to a 38-24 win over the Falcons in KSAC crossover play Jan. 13.

Avah Burke led A-C Valley with six points while Mia Sherman posted five points and Andrea Meals provided four points.


Keystone 64, North Clarion 50

FRILLS CORNERS Keystone's Troy Johnson amassed 23 points and 11 rebounds to help the visiting Panthers to a 64-50 win over North Clarion in a KSAC crossover clash Jan. 13.

The Panthers rallied from a 47-44 deficit by outscoring the Wolves 20-3 in the final period.

Alex Rapp added 13 points for Keystone while Isaak Jones bucketed 12 points. Andrew Lauer chimed in with seven points, eight rebounds and five steals.

Jacob Bauer paced North Clarion with 13 points while Matson Higgins bucketed 10 points and Collin Schmader provided eight points.

Redbank Valley 56, Venango Catholic 32

OIL CITY Redbank Valley's Bryson Bain totaled 20 points to help the visiting Bulldogs to a 56-32 win over Venango Catholic in a KSAC crossover clash Jan. 13.

Chris Marshall followed with 17 points for Redbank Valley while Declan Fricko deposited 10 points.

Karns City 60, A-C Valley 55

FOXBURG Visiting Karns City rallied from a 10-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter to come away with a 60-55 win over A-C Valley in KSAC crossover action Jan. 13.

Levi Orton scored a game-high 25 points for the Falcons while Cole Dehart provided eight points.

Moniteau 52, Union 45

RIMERSBURG - Visiting Moniteau outscored Union 16-2 in the final period on the way to a 52-45 non-division win over the Golden Knights Jan. 13.

Caden Rainey led Union with 17 points while Truman Vereb provided 13 points.
