GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

North Clarion 22, Keystone 33

KNOX North Clarion's Brynn Siegel logged a time of 23:54 to finish first in the girls' race as the visiting Wolves downed Keystone 22-33 in a KSAC dual meet Oct. 5.

Jordyn Hendrickson added a third place finish for North Clarion while Katie Bauer was fourth, Kaylee Castner was fifth and Paige Hetrick was ninth.

Cailyn Heilman led the way for the Panthers with a second place finish. The Panthers' Samantha Heller finished sixth while Kenna Lloyd was seventh, Noelle Booth was ninth and Viola Villori was 10th.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

North Clarion 22, Keystone 33

KNOX North Clarion's Kaine McFarland finished first overall with a time of 19:54 to help the visiting Wolves to a 22-33 win over Keystone in a KSAC dual meet Oct. 5.

Aiden Thomas added a second place finish for North Clarion while Gabriel Fair was fourth. Rounding out the Wolves top five scorers were Braden Custer in seventh place and Parker Evans in eighth place.

Tyler Pheiff led the Panthers with a third place finish while Jonathan Hansford was fifth and Josiah Hansford was sixth. Andrew Custer added a ninth place finish for Keystone while Caden Buzard was 10th.

VOLLEYBALL

Clarion 3, A-C Valley 0

FOXBURG Clarion's Korrin Burns amassed 22 kills, six points with two aces and six digs to help the visiting Bobcats to a 25-17, 25-12, 25-12 win over A-C Valley in a KSAC clash Oct. 5.

Jordan Best chimed in with 12 digs and 12 points with four aces for Clarion while Adia Needham had nine points.

Grace Ochs totaled seven points, seven digs and four assists for the Bobcats while Payton Simko recorded 10 kills. Noel Anthony dished out 31 assists and served for six points for Clarion.

Meah Ielase led the Falcons with seven kills while Paige Klingler ripped four kills. The Falcons' Lexi Ruckdeschel posted 11 digs for A-C Valley while Jennifer Stefanacci had six assists.

Keystone 3, Union 0

KNOX Keystone's Jozee Weaver piled up 10 points, five kills and four digs to help lead the Panthers to a 26-24, 25-26, 25-18 win over visiting Union in KSAC play Oct. 5.

Leah Exley had eight kills for Keystone while Kennedy Kaye made nine digs. The Panthers' Alyssa Weaver notched 11 points with three aces and 10 assists.

Dominika Logue paced the Golden Damsels with a five kill, two block performance.

Union's Hailey Kriebel recorded two kills while Kennedy Vogle made eight digs.

North Clarion 3, Forest Area 0

TIONESTA The North Clarion duo of Brenna Thompson and Amya Green combined for 10 kills to help the visiting Wolves to a 25-12, 25-20, 25-10 win over Forest Area Oct. 5.

Thompson and Green each had five kills with Thompson serving for 10 points.

Sara Aaron dished out seven assists for North Clarion.

Clarion-Limestone 3, Redbank Valley 1

NEW BETHLEHEM Clarion-Limestone's Celia Shaffer posted six kills to help the visiting Lions to a 25-16, 25-21, 18-25, 25-21 win over Redbank Valley in KSAC play Oct. 5.

Brooke Kessler chimed in with five kills for C-L.

Alivia Huffman led the Bulldogs with eight kills while Lilly Shaffer dished out 10 assists and had 10 digs.

Redbank Valley's Caylen Rearick had 24 digs for Redbank Valley while Carlie Rupp made 10 digs.

Keystone 3, Oil City 0

OIL CITY Keystone's Leah Exley recorded 11 kills to help the visiting Panthers to a 25-16, 25-23, 25-14 win over Oil City in a non-conference tilt Oct. 4.

Sydney Bell amassed 10 points with two aces, four kills and two blocks for Keystone while Alyssa Weaver provided 13 assists and seven points. The Panthers' Kennedy Kaye had nine digs.

North Clarion 3, Venango Catholic 0

FRILLS CORNERS North Clarion's Emily Aites had 10 kills to help the Wolves to a sweep of Venango Catholic in KSAC play Oct. 2.

Taylor Sherbine had 16 points and 10 digs for North Clarion while MaKenzie Lupole had seven kills. Sara Aaron dished out 20 assists for North Clarion while Alana Brooks had 15 digs.

Redbank Valley 3, Punxsutawney 1

NEW BETHLEHEM Redbank Valley's Alivia Huffman pounded home 15 kills to help the Bulldogs to a 25-22, 25-21, 21-25, 25-15 win over visiting Punxsutawney in non-conference play Oct. 4.

Caylen Rearick made 41 digs for Redbank Valley while Arissa Bish had 20 digs. The Bulldogs' Taylor Ripple posted seven kills and Lilly Shaffer handed out 20 assists.

Union 3, Mercer 0

RIMERSBURG Union's Dominika Logue piled up eight kills, five digs and four aces to help lead the Golden Damsels to a 25-13, 26-24, 25-14 win over visiting Mercer in non-conference play Oct. 4.

Keira Croyle dished out 10 assists and served for four aces for Union while Hailey Kriebel made four kills. Allie Conner added six aces and five digs for the Golden Damsels while Kennedy Vogle made eight digs.

GIRLS SOCCER

Redbank Valley 2, Clarion 0

CLARION Redbank Valley's Lilli Barnett had a goal and an assist to help the visiting Bulldogs to a 2-0 win over Clarion Oct. 5.

Raegen Beamer also had a goal for Redbank Valley while Ember Hetrick dished out an assist.

LeighAnn Hetrick pitched the shutout in net for the Bulldogs.

Clarion-Limestone 4, Redbank Valley 3

CLARION TWP. - Clarion-Limestone's Cody Whitling scored a pair of goals and had an assist to help the short-handed Lions to a 4-3 win over visiting Redbank Valley Oct. 5.

The Lions were shorthanded because Jason Megnin was red-carded in the second half.

Layton Dunn and Wyatt Boyden each had a goal for C-L while Thomas Uckert provided an assist.

Wow, what a weekend of racing to complete the 2021 season. Lernerville Speedway held their Steel City Stampede which featured 10 different divisions plus a 100-lap Enduro. The event took place over three days as Thursday night was practice for all drivers in all the divisions.
