PIAA CLASS 2A OPENING ROUND
Redbank Valley 63, Serra Catholic 36
NEW BETHLEHEM - Redbank Valley broke open a one-point game at the end of one quarter by outscoring visiting Serra Catholic 34-15 over the middle two quarters on the way to a 63-36 PIAA Class 2A opening round playoff win March 10.
Mylee Harmon led the way for Redbank Valley with 22 points.
Caylen Rearick drained two 3-pointers on the way to 14 points while also grabbing four rebounds for the Bulldogs while Alivia Huffman posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Redbank Valley's Kira Bonanno chimed in with six points and five boards.
The Bulldogs take on District 6 third place finisher Bishop McCourt at Kiski Area High School with tip-off scheduled for 6 p.m.
PIAA CLASS A OPENING ROUND
Berlin Brothersvalley 46, North Clarion 22
JOHNSTOWN - Berlin Brothersvalley jumped out to an 18-3 lead after one period and cruised to a 46-22 win over North Clarion in the girls' PIAA Class A opener at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Saturday (March 11),
Lauren Lutz paced the Wolves with nine points while Maria Bauer netted seven points.
North Clarion closes the season with a 20-7 record.
PIAA CLASS A OPENING ROUND
Union (New Castle) 47, Clarion 9
NEW CASTLE - Union (New Castle) ripped out to a 17-1 lead after one frame and cruised to a 47-9 win over visiting Clarion in the girls' PIAA Class A opener Saturday (March 11).
Natalie Durish led the Bobcats with three points.
Clarion closes the season with a 12-15 record.

PIAA CLASS A OPENING ROUND
Imani Christian Academy 73, Clarion 48
WEXFORD - Clarion's Devon Lauer scored a game-high 17 points but it wasn't enough as the Bobcats fell to WPIAL Class A champ Imani Christian Academy 73-48 in the PIAA Class A opening round at North Allegheny High School March 10.
Imani Christian bucketed 13 3-pointers in the win.
Bryce Brinkley had four assists and two points for Clarion while Dawson Smail had three points and three steals.
The Bobcats finish the season with a 17-10 mark.
